The LORD's supper is cert...Thanks for sharing! The LORD's supper is certainly a very important observance in the Christian walk, and the correct way in which to do it is crucial. Something that I wonder about is whether or not the verses found in Matthew can be applied to the verses in I Corinthians. In a way, it seems that to say that we must be reconciled with our brother in order to partake is to make it a sacrifice that we are giving to God, when in reality, we are to be remembering the perfect sacrifice that He gave on our behalf. Also, such a view also seems to discourage the obedience of this command by inducing fear that there is unresolved sin in one's life that they may have, and so, might as well just not ever eat of it, being that doing so eat and drink damnation to themselves. (KJV) Do you think perhaps the examining of yourself could mean that we are to know, and acknowledge the body and blood of Christ, not taking the remembrance of His sacrifice lightly? I am not certain on the answers, and I appreciate your willingness to share about this topic!sheeptrotternoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1443739908453011937.post-25905958726389107052012-05-01T11:34:30.139-07:002012-05-01T11:34:30.139-07:00A very nice and thoughtfelt post.
